I saw a very brief tweet come across my twitter network indicating that Ning is now incorporating a wiki within the networks. Is this true? If so, how do we add a Ning wiki to our networks?
Yes in two weeks they are adding a wiki with more features to add pages. It will be much better than the beta used now for adding pages. I wrote into the help center due to the fact that my pages on Floortime Repository weren't coming up properly even though I followed the directions.
I was informed that in two weeks they will be adding a wiki with many great features for adding extra pages to your network. I was very excited about it.
I believe that a full-functioning wiki is still to come. The previous release was for "notes" pages, which are very helpful as well.
Look below the input box for this conversation, and you'll find an "upload files" link. There is not a central file repository for a network, but you can upload files as a part of conversations.

Until Ning do implement a full wiki there are a couple of things you can do to make a wiki feel as though it is part of your Ning. Unfortunately you can't link the members database so users will still have to sign in to both seperately
1) Add a navigation tab to your wiki in your Ning navigation bar.
2) Add rss feeds from your Ning to your wikis sidebar, eg:latest activites and add rss feeds from your wiki to your Ning.
3) Add your Ning's photos and videos widget to your wiki
4) If you know HTML you can incorporate your Ning navigation bar into your wiki (example here) sorry the example is in Hebrew but what you see is a wiki with a built in Ning navigation bar.
Does anyone have an update on this yet? I thought I had heard something else about this recently, but still seem to be missing the wiki feature in my Ning. Would love to be able to have a wiki included!
