Hello. My name is Trevor Bonat. I am a teacher and department chair at Canterbury School in New Milford, CT. I am currently using Ning in a Faith and Politics course I cooked up this semester. I am looking forward to exploring the possibilities of this site with my students.

The course sounds fascinating! Hope you'll let us know how it goes.

I am excited for it. We will be using Ning for informal discussions, and student blog reflections. If they are good, we are going to open it up to the world by April. I also have a wikispaces site for content and they will probably have del.icio.us bookmarking for research. Honesty, I have no idea what to expect. I am really relying on my students to figure out how to best use this stuff. I will update you and let you peek, if you want, when we get up and running.

Hi Steve-
I'm Neil Rochelle and I live in East Aurora, New York. I'm the Superintendent of Schools for Iroquois Central School. Began the Web 2.0 journey in Ellicottville, NY at High School's New Face Conference after a presentation by Will Richardson. I have been collaborating with Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach over the past year and a half. First got introduced to Ning as part of a training for Western New York's Powerful Learning Practices with Will and Sheryl. Our school team is using Ning as team members new to Web 2.0 tools begin to learn and use networking tools on the Web. We have a wiki developed by one of my very talented teachers, Pat Aroune as a Community of Practice: one stop shopping for our teachers district-wide to share resources, lesson plans and ideas. It is my hope that by modeling the use of social-networking tools on the web as well as podcasting and blogging that teachers will beging to integrate technology in order to better engage our students and have them more active participants in their learning.

Thanks for the TalkShoe experience the other night. I did set up an account and then hooked up with a live podcast. Met a great guy interested in internet marketing ideas. We ended up talking about the pro's and con's of TalkShoe. Learned a lot. I think it has some good possibilities. I find Gcast really easy for just creating a podcast but TalkShoe's potential for a weekly podcast, live with iTunes RSS feed is pretty cool!

I had a great talk with a guy from Talkshoe today. They are rolling out a new version on Tuesday, and I think we can make it work! I got some great advice, and we'll do it a little differently this time.

Thanks for being so supportive!
