I'm Doug Sanford, a high school Assistant Principal in New Jersey. I'm using Ning as a way to connect novice teachers with retired teachers. The network is intended to create a non-evaluative support system for sharing ideas, stories, and getting answers to tough questions. The goal is to improve the learning curve for novice teachers and increase retention. Reaching out to retired teachers has been particularly valuable as many of them are still community members.

I am just discovering ning. Interested in using it in a networked, homeschool-like setting. I am hoping that I can set it up so that homework can be assigned and submitted through the network. If anybody has experience with this or ideas, please let me know!

Hello all, I am Eileen from London and teach in a college in Essex. I have been teaching IT for many years and am always interested in different ways of interacting with the students and like to include new technology where possible
I heard of Ning today and thought I might be able to pick up some good tips on how I could include this in my teaching.

Hello! I am new to Ning and I am eager to see how this can be used to benefit my teaching practices. I am also new to the whole internet social network thing; I have resolutely stayed away from Facebook. I am looking forward to interfacing with my students and with all of the Ning members!

Hey everyone. Ned Kirsch - Vermont. I am trying to build a network of NMSA members in the eastern portion of the US (and Europe). I am running for Board of Trustees. Hopefully Ning will allow me to get my message out "there". Or people can read & see more on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=54491384153&ref=nf). Or even follow me on Twitter at betavt.

Hi I'm Jenny, I live in Sydney and I'm only very new to Ning and all it offers. I'd like to be able to incorporate this technology into my teaching but I need to learn more about it, and the best way, I thought, was to become involved and learn from others. I'm then hoping I can teach others at my school - so we'll see how it goes!

Hello from Texas!
I teach French to grades 9-12. I participated in the Images4Education Ning and would like to create a similar network for my upper level French students. I have joined several Nings and look forward to collaborating with my global professional learning community.

Hi Im Alec, I am based in Morpeth, Northumberland in England. I am a tutor for a local project which is attempting to get more people on line and useing computers, so most of my classes are the older generation. I am useing Ning to introduce people to social networking in a safe enviroment. It also gives them a great way of keeping in contact with friends.
