Ning in Education

Using Ning for Educational Social Networks

I am just in the process of creating my first Ning structure and have a few questions.

1. It appears the system supports threaded discussion at the top level of the network AND within groups. How do you communicate this to first time users so that they are not confused?
2. Is there some statement I should post to limit liability to my organization? I would hate to have the org sued because some teacher posted something they should not. Can I create and administrate the Ning with out make the org responsible for what members post?
3. the Photos section confuses me. If my members have 5 meg images and don't know how to resize down, does the system do that for them?
4. when a member uploads images, doe it force them to assign them to a album?
