Ning in Education

Using Ning for Educational Social Networks

On my membership based network I've set up a group all members need to join so that they can all send email announcements to the whole list. We also have discussions inside that group.

How do I get group discussions to show on the main page so that members know there's been discussions taking place? My understanding is that they will only get notification if they have already participated in a discussion so I want them to be able to see there have been discussions on the main page when they log in. Is this possible?

I don't think there's a native functionality for doing this right now in Ning, but a workaround would be to take the RSS feed from that group's discussions and put it into an RSS box on the main page.

Ok, thanks, I hadn't thought of that. Much appreciated.
