ELMO SHARE STORIES FROM FIRST SESSION:
No story except, I CAN'T TEACH WITHOUT IT!! It has changed everything. I heart ELMO!
I use my elmo repeatedly for class art demonstrations. The zoom and large screen make it so much easier to get the process to ALL of my students. One day I began a project (not thinking) by holding up a piece of paper and showing the kids what to do, thinking I wanted to do it quickly--Immediately, my kids shouted and demanded GET ELMO!! GET ELMO!! Big oops! SInce then, I keep elmo out and ready for that quick demo!
The excitement seen in the eyes of 6th grade sutdents when they come up to share their answers on chapter vocabulary, word search, crossword, fill-in's..There is a lot of motivation to finish the chapter vocabulary!
Students using the elmo to critique student work. Students can see good and bad examples. They love being in front of the class presenting their piece.
Showing textbook graphs/charts immediately to use during a powerpoint. Nice to show visuals so easily!
