Caro I am on delicious. I even have you linked to my site. I have been adding lots of stuff just lately but I haven't had time to sort my tags so it's a bit of a jumble but I'm having loads of fun. I've been exploring and experimenting.
What I'd really like to do is learn how to use Moodle. It seems to be a kind of wysiwig for learning sites. I've been looking at moodle pages set up by other teachers. I downloaded it but I can't seem to find out how to install. I'll let you know when I've got it going.

Hi Brenda
I never had a response from Maggie Verster - is she too busy or what? Re the use of delicious - have you had any success. I'd be happy to guide you through the process as soon as you have a login - www.delicious.com

It's wonderful and I use it all the time.

what's happening at your school at the mo? Ive finished all reports but still have to print them. Next week is the chos/joy/fun of Summer school where the kids are all over the show and we have visitors doing workshops/ talks/ opera/ dog shows/sccience shows - magic - you name it - they have the option to do it. Tonight we're going to the Cape Town Castle military Tattoo which should be dazzling - 1820 overture for instance with real canons! Ryan's future Mum in law is up for the weekend and she's joining us (Ryan and Anja get married on the 14 Dec!

I see you are on line... so maybe you'll reply soon.

Our school just signed up for another two years with C4K. It's fine. I discovered I hadn't been using it to its best advantage anyway. I do find that the themes fit in with what our teachers are doing and it's a case of either using a lesson as is or taking it and adapting it for our situation. Without an internet connection to broaden our lesson base C4K serves us well.

I never did link to your deli.cio.us site. I haven't actually tried to work out how. :-) I keep posting to my site but it's time to do some sorting again. Time................

I will try out the Moodle later this evening - as you said earlier, we do have a day job. Tell me about tht other link you mentioned in an earlier mail (cant see it in this interface!). Have you created any other blogs/wiki's etc yet. Russell & C4K are finally out of SFC for good.
When I see Maggie's well-developed blog I feel quite frustrted but I have to realise that I am self-taught at the moment as I have had no web 2.0 training except what Ive found out for myself.
Reports loom - but this is more fun even than FaceBook!

Hi Caro, i just cut myself off there. I was trying to say I've been busy browsing a weekend forum. There was a guy there who set up his class page in Moodle. Check out http://moodle.sandi.net/course/view.php?id=1198 I am all inspired to try out the Moodle platform. Do you have any experience of it?

Lovely to see you here so quickly - there are some excellent forums and I've already had some exchanges as a result. A nice place to create your class ning(s) when you have the online facilities!
