Looking for ways to use Voice Thread with my middle school students. The wiki has been wonderful for my tech classes. Now I am looking at trying some new Web 2.0 tools!!

Hello.

I'm using Voicethread mostly as a way to read assignments out loud to my special education population. I'm also using it as a way to explain concepts and post videos on how to use manipulatives. I found that with my below reading level kids, they needed a lot of help and I couldn't get to them fast enough. Voicethread is helping me to get them to help themselves while I help others.

I'm also using it as an option for fast finishers. If students finish their work early, they are allowed to make their own voicethread that explains the main ideas of that unit. We are too early in the year to find out how that works.

I have had students utilize my voicethreads to help them with instruction and reading aloud, but it hasn't been utilized much yet. We are only one week in.

I'll keep you posted if any major trouble shooting things come up. And good luck with your class!
