February 14, four cadets from Sarasota Military Academy's Intensive Reading class went to Cyesis High School to read to the prenursery students. Cyesis high school is a school where teenage parents attend high school while their children are in day care at that school. The parents receive academics and classes on parenting. The "Share the love of reading" activity on Valentines Day was begun four years ago. The children are read to while the parents watch. After the modeling is completed all are taken to the media center where the children get to pick out a book and a stuffed animal. Sarasota Reading Council provides the books and animals, as well as the readers.
