With you're interest in conferencing I recommend
you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presenatation platform. Both are web based, have a bunch of features and free basic service. I think Wiziq, in particular, might help you're teacher group meet its online conferencing goals especially if your teachers want to be synchronously online.
