I love your photo, Elaine! Yes, I'm powering ahead...like with an old push mower through very tall grass sometimes, but I'm pushing as hard as I can. Doesn't appear that you can "break" anything much here in Ning, so I've been experimenting wildly.

How about you, though? What's your interest in this group here...how and what might we learn together in this network?

Hi Meri
Sounds like you are powering ahead with these social networking tools. I am keen to hear what everyone is trying. I am very new to web 2.0 tricks. Elaine

Did it. Thanks for the opportunity to make my first edit of a wikispace. I'm wondering, since you're going to teach us here, would you tell how you wnbedded that wiki in the first column of the site here? That was a neat trick...and a great way to allow everyone to participate and learn how, in case they don't.

I might be the biggest technical newbie here... so I'm going to be hanging on your every word, Steve. I think NING offers ENORMOUS opportunities for educators and I want to learn all I can abut how to use it with ease and grace. For me, that's going to be a challenge, too... I'm not detail minded enough to be very good at software creation... even when it's joint. I understand enough about it to just be dangerous (grin)... but I'm always looking for opportunities to learn more...and to collaborate with folks whose minds are ALREADY configured to think this way. Mine's configured to think outside the box and then partner with people who know how to break down the walls of the box, literally as well as technically. More soon...

Of course! And be sure to add a link to your network at http://socialnetworkingined.wikispaces.com, or send me the link and I'll add it.

Hello all! Glad to see this group starting up. I love Steve's interviews and the energy he brings to social networking. If you're not already participating with the We Are Teachers IMAGINE network, please join us there, too. That's the place I'm participating most heavily right now in this world of NING. Looking forward to learning with and from all of you...

25 Top Tools - Make That 26 - Jane Hart's Personal Faves and 1 of Mine

My research process these days has me following the trails of brave explorers, digging deeper when I find something that interests me, sharing it, and getting feedback. Not so surprising for a woman who has decided to park her wagon right close to the end of the Oregon Trail, I guess.

I’ve been so busy that I haven’t posted here… and that’s got to stop today.

So… Continue
