Open the discussion "Pregnant Boy"--that's the one that Jesse created, with his essay attached, and then you can see where we all commented on his essay as replies to his discussion. I think you can create a new discussion and attach an essay as a document with your comments embedded, but I don't think the ning would allow you to add comments to the actual attachment, unless you downloaded it, made changes to a copy of the original, and then posted a new discussion with your changes attached.
