The Perfect Plan for GRE Prep

Here is how you can plan your efforts for GRE Prep:

1) Decide when you would like to take GRE.

You should register a date for the GRE test. Remember to gather all information related to the GRE exam schedule. You can make your GRE prep schedule, depending on number of days you have for studying for the exam.

2) Make Your GRE Prep schedule

1. Find out the best GRE books and online GRE resources for preparing.
2. Take the GRE diagnostic test and based on your performance in it, decide which GRE section you need to focus more on.

3) Create a separate “GRE Prep Zone”

1. Set a fixed time each day for spending on GRE Verbal & GRE Quant sections.
2. Keep some time aside everyday for GRE vocab building exercises.
3. Note the scheduled breaks in the GRE Exam. Make sure to take these breaks. It might feel unnecessary, but you will need these breaks during the actual GRE Exam to let the information sink in.

4) Give Importance to GRE Practice

1. Once you have reviewed all your GRE concepts, you should focus on GRE practice by taking as many timed tests as possible. There are numerous GRE prep sites and GRE prep software with GRE tests. Attempt them regularly for building exam temperament.

2. After taking a GRE practice test analyse where you went wrong and iron out any conceptual mistakes that you’ve made. As you progress in GRE prep, this will help you improve your GRE Score.

3. Practice writing GRE essays. Ask someone to proofread it. You will be surprised at the feedback you get. Do you have spelling mistakes? Does your argument flow? How well structured is your GRE essay?

5) Revise GRE prep material and relax.

1. Do not cram. Understanding key GRE concepts will help you retain them better.
2. Feel free to take part in various GRE prep forums on the internet.
3. Don’t stress your self. Be confident about your GRE prep.
