Mark,

I'm fortunate to have access to Elluminate through my school, so I like it. When I can't use it I go with WizIQ. I have to confess that I tried DimDim and couldn't get it to work.

Hi Mark,
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I just happen to be teaching a class on using Moodle and will be covering Web 2.0 tools. I'll be sure to check out the link.

Thank you so much for telling me about the virtual classroom. I love to find new free things that will help me as well as other teachers I come in contact with.
Have a wonderful night

Mark,

Looks interesting... Perhaps it is similar to SlideShare with a few extra features??? I'll need to look more carefully when I have more time to devote to it.

I offer a number of programs which may be of interest to middle school, high school, college and university faculty and students.

My flagship presentation Games To Explain Human Factors: Come, Participate, Learn and Have Fun!!! is outstanding for technology classes. It shows participants some considerations in designing products and systems for people to use. It is also an excellent course for English classes, because it teaches a great deal about effective communication. It is also an excellent program for math, science and career classes. This program is great from middle school to graduate school. . You may wish to join the Games To Explain Human Factors group on Ning in Education.

Effective Leadership Involves Working Through Others is great for students just elected or appointed to leadership roles at the high school or college level.

I’m Awesome, But I Have My Limitations
works very well at a milestone in middle school, such as completing all of the basic 9th grade courses in a technical education program.

What’s My Job: An Effective Career Orientation Program For Middle School Students not only teaches students about potential careers, but it also improves student-parent communications.

Activities To Facilitate Career Planning and Gaining Meaningful Employment
is a optimal program for students planning their careers, from high school juniors to graduate Students.

Please take a look at my listing pages, the photo albums which I have posted from a few of my programs and perhaps my profile on Google. Let me know how we might work together.

I understand that budgets are tight this year, but don’t let that be a limiting factor. I will guarantee teachers in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and CT that working together we can come up with an affordable way to bring these programs to you. I'll bet I could do so for California also...

Mark, thank you for pointing these resources out to me! I've spent today creating a ning site for my class next fall. It can be time consuming, but in a good way.

Hey Mark. Thanks for the suggestion. You might want to take a look at my new unit on the Holocaust using Google Earth. I'm now working on a unit on The Great Gatsby, also using Google Earth.

I am scheduled to make a presentation on my campus on Ning in education THIS tuesday, so I am not sure how much I can investigate those links you suggested.
Do you use them?
What are the major differences in your view between the Ning option and what those offer (besides a ppt player among other possibilities)?
Here is the link to this campus activity of mine.
